"Saint Epiphanios"
Cultural Academy
The “Saint Epiphanios” Cultural Academy – Institute of Studies Research and Culture is dedicated to the study, preservation, and promotion of the spiritual, historical, and cultural heritage of Cyprus and the wider Eastern Mediterranean.
Housed at the Ayia Napa Monastery, the Academy functions as a centre of learning and cultural exchange, supporting scholarly inquiry while fostering dialogue between tradition and contemporary research.
Serving as a research institute, the Academy is open to students, researchers, and scholars. Within its premises, the Academy’s library—focused on Cyprological studies and the study of Cypriot hagiography—offers a dedicated space for study and research. Unique in the Famagusta region, the library collaborates with other academic and research libraries, encouraging scholarly networks and interdisciplinary collaboration.
In addition to its research activities, the Academy maintains a strong public-facing mission. It organises educational programmes, exhibitions, seminars, and special cultural events, aiming to engage a wider audience and promote awareness of Cyprus’s rich religious and cultural heritage among both local and international visitors.
